Soil Enrichment

Soil Enrichment

Land degradation and loss of soil fertility, due to continuous cultivation, rudimentary land-use practices and unreliable rainfalls, have left several acreages of rural farmland without enough soil nutrients critical for sustainable crop yields. There is a need to apply organic manure or compost to the soil, and in some cases soil irrigation, if intensive crop yields are to be achieved. EATBETA’s goal is to train rural farmers in using appropriate and inexpensive soil enrichment and preservation practices for higher crop yields.
