The early missionaries used the opportunity of establishing schools and hospitals as a platform to evangelize and spread Christianity in Africa. Today, the Christian community has a much greater opportunity to evangelize Africa by joining in the effort to tackle rural unemployment and food shortage. Through business empowerment and transformation of agriculture, rural unemployment and food shortage problems in Sub-Saharan Africa can be tackled and livelihoods of rural communities can be improved.
Our approach involves working in collaboration with a rural Church to train local smallholder farmers in a variety of skills aimed at improving and enhancing rural farmers’ livelihoods. Working with a rural Church becomes a conduit to reach out to the community with the message of the gospel, as the local farmers come to benefit from a wide variety of programs provided by Eatbeta.
