Harvest Transport

Harvest Transport

Most of rural smallholder farmers in sub-Saharan Africa heavily rely on manual means, dominated by head-loading and walking, to transport their farm harvests to the market or processing centers. This means of transportation often results in harvests being unable to reach the market on time; as a result, farm harvests perish due to lack of swift transportation means. Although road access and road networks are enormously improving across sub-Saharan Africa, there is still an inherent lack of motorized transportation in the rural areas to enable farmers swiftly transport their farm harvests. Among Eatbeta’s goals is to provide transportation for rural smallholder farmers to transport their farm harvests to the market and/or processing centers in a timely manner.
