At the training demo-center, rural smallholder farmers are provided with experiential and skills-based training in sustainable modern farming techniques that are relevant to the local region. For instance, if rice is the main agricultural crop of the local region, training and ag-skilling will focus on utilizing modern techniques for rice farming. Farmers get hands-on training by learning from expert farmers and agricultural trainers. This experiential hands-on learning environment provides the farmers with real and diverse sustainable modern farming skills. Working closely with experts in the field, the training program is designed to cover essential topics that would enhance a farmer’s skills in quality crop farming, animal farming, and in using farm equipment. To ensure that the training is effective, Eatbeta’s training staff create a schedule to visit the trainee’s farm site and monitor the progress of the farming activity in which training is being offered and to see to it that the acquired ag-skills are properly and actually implemented.
